The Accreditation Symbol
The
Accreditation Symbol means that a conformity assessment
body (i.e. a laboratory, inspection body or certification
body) has reached a high level of competence and reliability and is
in conformance with all the requirements of the applicable
and internationally recognized accreditation standards.
Accredited bodies are allowed to use the accreditation
symbol on their reports and certificates. The use
of the accreditation symbol is closely monitored
by the NAB-Malta. Accredited organisations have to follow
the regulations issued by the NAB-Malta (as defined
in publication RAB2)
when using the symbol and when making reference to
accreditation.
The Accreditation symbols that
NAB-MALTA offers are displayed here:

The Accreditation Certificate
Each accredited conformity assessment body is issued with a uniquely numbered accreditation certificate. The certificate consists of a front page and more important of the scope of the accreditation. Latest copies of the scopes of accreditation are available from this website.
